In the GoDo health programme, children are the driving force behind behavioural change. With their ideas and actions, they are helping the whole family to apply a healthy lifestyle. And that’s great, because people who eat healthier, exercise more and relax more, do feel happier and perform better. GoDo is a movement which has started with a core group of founders consisting of Missing Chapter, Albert Heijn and FrieslandCampina. Three after-school care organisations of Smallsteps (one of the labels of KidsFoundation) participated in the test phase. In addition, the Voedingscentrum, Voeding Leeft, Gezond Gewicht, and Gezond School contribute to GoDo as knowledge partners and social organisations. The platform is independent and has no commercial objectives.
The platform was launched by Princess Laurentien van Oranje (founder of Missing Chapter) and is now live! The game can be played both in the after-school care and at home. Anyone can sign up for the challenges, where it is all about good food, more exercise and relaxing together. Interactive learning material can also be found on the platform.
