Professional of the Year

Professional association PPINK and the journal Kinderopvang are putting educators in the spotlight by calling elections for Educational Professional of the Year. The winner will act as ambassador representing his or her professional group or day-care for the entire year. Nomination of candidates is welcome until 1 June 2018.

Appreciating day-care workers

Educational workers are often modest about their contribution to child care. The truth is, however, that they determine the quality of the group to a great extent. They also play an important role in the upbringing and development of young children. The election of Educational Professional of the Year is aimed at increasing the focus on, and appreciation of, these educators.

From nomination to award ceremony

After 1 June, the jury will choose three candidates who will each upload a video to the internet in September. At that time everyone will have a chance to vote for their favourite candidate. The winner will be announced on 12 October at the conference Topsprekers in de Kinderopvang (Top Speakers in Child Care). The Educational Professional of the Year will receive a cash award of 650 euros to be used for further training. In addition, a picture of the winner will appear on the cover of the journal Kinderopvang.
